237. Two Thousand Maniacs (Herschell Gordon Lewis, 1964)
Somehow managed to throw in some pretty creative kills and an actually sort of coherent narrative which is really nice after something like Blood Feast. It’s still a total mess in practically every aspect, but they do also have a pretty cool score sometimes (however cheesy as hell it might be). Ridiculous, baffling, entertaining, and I almost want to make a remake with Mumford and Sons for the sake of weird fuckin’ dudes with banjos.
