if psycho (‘60) didn’t exist, this wouldn’t be that bad of a movie
but it does exist and this is a remake and therefore it’s subject to a hell of a lot of criticism and deserves to be regarded as an extremely weak remake but as a stand-alone film it’s maybe a 3/5 so the 1/5 it gets from being a terrible remake sort of balances out to a 2/5 in my mind
